A QUAD rider was taken to hospital earlier after he came off his bike into the road.
Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Bolton Road, near Grove House Road, at around 12.54pm.
A police spokesperson said: "The male rider of a quadbike came off into the road."
At the time of the crash, the road was blocked and officers were trying to ascertain the full circumstances of the collision.
The rider was taken to hospital for "non life-threatening" injuries.
Police also recovered the quad at around 2.30pm.
