POLICE have launched an appeal for information following a burglary at the soon-to-be-demolished Richard Dunn Sports Centre.

Building materials were taken from the Rooley Avenue site, which shut in November last year, by suspects between midnight and 9.30am yesterday (Wednesday, February 26).

An application to demolish the huge building has now been approved, with work to bring the iconic building down due to start in May or June.

Anyone with any further information is urged to call West Yorkshire Police on the 101 number, anonymously to charity Crimestoppers on: 0800 555 111, quoting crime reference number 1300101680.
