The Sound of Music at Alhambra Theatre - Friday and Saturday

This musical tells the true story of the world-famous singing family, it features well-known songs including Edelweiss, My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, So Long Farewell, and The Sound of Music.

Friday and Saturday's performances start at 7.30pm, with a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Encounters with Jesus by Ali Thistlethwaite at Bradford Cathedral - Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Alison Thistlethwaite’s paintings show encounters with God through the Spirit.

The exhibition will run until June 12 and is open between 8.30pm and 5pm. Free entry.

Worth The Weight Vintage Kilo Sale at Bradford Cathedral - Saturday

The fair features handpicked vintage pick & mix men's and women's vintage clothing from the 1960s-90s. Changing rooms on site so shoppers can try before you buy.

Early bird 11am - Get in an hour early with £3 early bird tickets, general admission after noon is £1.50, under-12s free.

If shoppers find any item weighing one kilo or more you will only pay a maximum of £15 for that item.

Brontë Treasures at Bronte Parsonage Museum - Friday

The Brontë Parsonage Museum is home to the world’s largest collection of Brontë artefacts, manuscripts and personal belongings.

Brontë Treasures offers a unique opportunity to go beyond the security cord into the Parsonage Library for a close-up viewing of some of the items not on display.

During these special hour-long sessions, a member of the curatorial team will share facts and stories about a number of carefully-selected objects, offering a specialist insight into the lives and works of this inspirational family. Fascinating and moving in equal measure, Brontë Treasures is a not-to-be missed experience.

The talk starts at 2pm.

An award winning play by Laura Harper follows Dawn who has a nice house, fast car, great friends and family, and a new job out in Dubai.

Parsonage Unwrapped: Imaginary Worlds at Bronte Parsonage Museum - Friday

Dr Emma Butcher and artist Isabel Greenberg get close-up with the museum's collections and explore the worlds of Glass Town, Angria and Gondal in this exclusive after-hours event.

She is an expert in the history of children and war and published the monograph The Brontës and War in 2020.

Isabel Greenberg is a London-based illustrator and writer, and a New York Times bestselling graphic novelist. Her most recent release, Glass Town, is a graphic not-quite-biography of the Brontës, released in spring 2020.

Alpaca Trekking at Thornwood Alpaca Trekking - Saturday

The experience, at Westfield Farm, Lee Lane, Oxenhope, lasts 90 minutes and includes an introduction to the herd, a walk along the footpath through the farm fields, a chance to feed the alpacas and loads of feed and photo stops. Suitable for anyone over the age of five.

Children between five and 12 will have a second lead rein and share an alpaca with an adult. Children over 12 are able to lead their own alpaca.

Gin & Rum Express at Keighley and Worth Valley Railway - Saturday

The Real Food Ilkley Market is a celebration of locally produced fine food and drink in Ilkley, on the first Sunday of every month between 10am and 3pm.

The events offers produce from fresh bread, cakes and gluten free bakes to curry sauces, cheeses, condiments and crepes. Stalls also include organic meat and veg, brownies, truffles and herbs.
