SINGER songwriters Tim Chu and Ian Bailey will be bringing their ‘celebration of Simon and Garfunkel’ to Gisburn Festival Hall on Friday, March 20.

The two guitarists, who have been described by BBC radio as ‘delivering the best acoustic interpretation of Simon’s classic songs’ and are very definitely not a ‘tribute act’ will be heading back to Craven on May 16 for a performance at Glusburn Community Arts Centre.

Tim and Ian grew up listening to the music of Simon and Garfunkel and describe themselves as not a tribute act, but delivering the music as they would have written it themselves; the music is too good to present it in a ‘gimmicky’ way, they say.

They don’t set out to ape Simon and Garfunkel, there are no costumes, wigs or make up, just two talented musicians producing an ambient, up close and personal collection of some of the American duo’s much loved hits. So, expect to hear Bridge Over Troubled Water, The Sounds of Silence and Mrs Robinson.

Tim and Ian are at Gisburn Festival Hall, Gisburn, at 7.30pm on Friday, March 20. Admission £15 and includes a hot supper, with vegetarian option. There will also be a licensed bar. Doors open at 6.45p.

Tickets available from Sue 07809 886890 or online via TicketWeb. More information at www.classicsingersongwriters.co.uk/sandg where there are also details of the show in Glusburn.
