FIREFIGHTERS have been at the scene of a scrapyard blaze in Bradford this evening.
They were called to Rutland Street, off Wakefield Road, at 7pm.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said around 20 cars in the yard were involved.
Fire crews from Bradford and Odsal used four breathing apparatus, a hose reel and large jets to bring the fire under control.
Firefighters from Shipley were also called to the scene.
A reader sent in this picture of the scene and said: "It was just like a plume of black smoke, you could hear windows smashing."
The yard was unattended when firefighters arrived and the cause of the fire is not known at the moment.
All crews have now left the scene.
