Baildon Tree Partnership is running a tree planting event in Baildon over two days this week.
Thanks to a large group of volunteers, the team will be planting on the field at the bottom of the Shipley Glen Tramway on Wednesday and Saturday.
Baildon Tree Partnership will plant hundreds of trees as part of the campaign to increase tree cover in the Baildon Area.
Baildon Tree partnership is a new community group and has been set up in conjunction with Baildon Town Council, Baildon Friends of the Earth and the Forest of Bradford. The event on Saturday is also supported by Baildon Runners who have donated funds that will cover the costs of 170 saplings. Tree species to be planted include Oak, Silver Birch, Field maple, Wild Cherry and Holly.
