THIS is the haul uncovered in a time capsule - all thanks to a storm.
Graeme Stead, 48, who lives in Haworth, found the nostalgic box of memories when a tree blew down at his home and exposed its hiding place in a wall.
It dates back to 1969 and includes some old coins, a letter and some Brooke Bond tea cards.
It was buried by Joyce and Gordon Driver when they lived in the house.
In a sweet turn of events, Graeme’s wife, Zoe, managed to track down their son, Ricky, 70, who lives in Keighley and they were able to meet up to show him and his daughter, Donna, the discovery.
Mr Stead said: “It was a bit mad. We’ve only found it because a tree fell down.
"It could have been there for hundreds of years and might never have been found.
"It was just a nice little coincidental accident."
Mr Driver said it had brought back a lot of memories. His late parents later moved to Australia, where his sister, Susan, now lives.
He sent some pictures aross to show her.
"I remember my dad saying he was going to fill it up, around about 1969," he said.
"I forgot all about it - it was a bit of a suprise.
"I never really knew what was inside it."
The letter paints a real picture of the time, including details about the couple and their family, their interests and jobs at the time and what their wages were.
The plan was to add to the time capsule and put it back - hopefully for someone else to discover in many years to come.
