A NEW tenant is being sought for an iconic pub which appeared in Emmerdale for more than 20 years.
The current landlords of The Woolpack, Esholt, said in a statement on the pub's website: "Sadly we will be leaving the Woolpack after five happy years at the end of Feb.
"In order to prepare the pub for the new operators we will not be serving food in Jan and Feb so we can redecorate and leave everything looking spic and span."
They have been at the pub for five years and a leaving party will be held tonight from 7.30pm.
A spokesperson for Ei Publican Partnerships said: “We’re currently seeking a new tenant for The Woolpack in Esholt and we hope to be able to update the local community soon.”
The pub was used as the exterior of Emmerdale’s pub for more than 20 years and has attracted many tourists over the years.
