The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

December 12:

NEIL JONES, 39, of Bourne Close, Calcot, admitted drink-driving on the A340 roundabout off the A4 at Theale on June 2. found to have 98mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, the legal limit being 80mg. Fined £337 and ordered to pay £37 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

STELAN PASARE, 36, of Northumberland avenue, Reading, admitted drink-driving in London Road, Reading, on November 25. Found to have 55mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £436 and ordered to pay £43 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months.

CHRISTOPHER DENTON, 32, of Mount Road, Thatcham in West Berkshire, admitted drug-driving on the A4 in Newbury on June 21. Found to have ketamine in his blood. Sentenced to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 30 months.

HARRY GEORGHIOU, 29, of Ashburton Road, Whitley in Reading, admitted stealing a Omniband plus fitness track device and moleskin notebook worth £54.98 from Ryman Stationary in Reading on June 11. Given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay £54.98 compensation. Also ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge.

December 13:

ERIN MCGUIRE, 45, of Ambrook Road, Reading, convicted of using a colour television without the correct licence in Reading on August 7. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £205 court costs.

HELEN TILLER, 59, of Lister Close in Purley on Thames, West Berkshire, convicted of using a colour television without the correct licence in West Berkshire on August 5. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £205 court costs.

LIAN BOREKI, 21, of Holberton Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £7.30 train fare in Reading on May 1. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £7.30 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

LUKE GOUGH, 29, of Bear Lane, Hare Hatch in Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading without having paid the £4.40 train fare on May 1. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £4.40 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

DALE HAYWOOD, 32, of Newtown road, Newbury, convicted of failing to hand over a ticket for inspection while on the railway in Reading on May 18. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £9.10 compensation. Also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

LEE HOLLAND, 20, of Finch Road, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £2.80 train fare in reading on May 17. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £2.80 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

TRACEY JONES, 47, of Burbridge Close, Calcot, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £9.10 train fare in Newbury on May 2. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £9.10 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

YONES MAHDI, 22, of Shinfield Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading on May 6 without having paid the £25.10 train fare. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £25.10 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

ALI MOHAMMED, 33, of Arbroath Road, Tilehurst in Reading, convicted travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Slough on May 12 without having paid the £15.70 train fare. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £15.70 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

GLENN RYDER-PHILIPS, 25, of London Road, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading on May 10 without having paid the £9.10 train fare. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £9.10 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

LUCIAN SANDU, 33, of Berkeley Road, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service at Newbury Racecourse on May 7 without having paid the £3.20 train fare. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £3.20 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

JONATHAN SIMMS, 31, of Audley Street in Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading on May 11 without having paid the £21.90 train fare. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £21.90 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

December 16:

ROBERT GRABIANOWSKI, 31, of Lilac Walk, Reading, admitted speeding on the A417 near South Cerney junction in Gloucestershire on February 25. Found to be doing over the 60mph speed limit on the dual carriageway. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Must also pay £85 court costs. Three points added to driving licence.

AARON Flynn, 24, of Anson Crescent, Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending rehabilitation activity on June 6 and August 15. Original offence being assault be beating in Wokingham on October 23, 2018. Sentenced to six weeks in prison suspended for 18 months and community order revoked. Also ordered to pay £60 court costs.

MICHAEL RICHARDS, 33, of Addington Road, Reading, admitted drink-driving in Northumberland Avenue on June 27. Found to have 82mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work. also ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £700 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 22 months.

LUKE SHARPLES, 26, of Manor lane, Newbury, admitted drink-driving in Hillgreen Lane, Newbury, on August 8. Found to have 40mch of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Also admitted being in possession of a hunting knife in Hillgreen Lane, Newbury, on August 3. Fined £800 and ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs.

December 17:

MOLLAND MWINGA, 57, of Whitley Wood Lane, Reading, admitted speeding on the A4 Bath Road in Thatcham on May 22. Found to be doing more than the 30mph speed limit. Fined £107 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Three points added to driving licence.

December 18:

SAMANTHA LANE, 37, of Linden Road, Reading, admitted stealing three handbags worth £309.97 from T K Maxx in Reading on December 17. Also admitted assault by beating in Reading on December 17. Sentenced to 14 weeks in prison due to previous record and use of a weapon namely a needle and biting. Also ordered to pay £75 compensation and £122 victim surcharge.

ADRIAN OLAH, 23, of Drake Way, Reading, admitted speeding on Purley Rise, West Berkshire, on August 16. found to be doing 37mph in the 30mph zone. Fined £188 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Three points added to driving licence.

SAMANTHA HEAD, 44, of Mayfair Drive, Newbury, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis when asked by officers at Newbury Police Station. Given a community order to comply with 80 hours unpaid work. also ordered to pay £60 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 18 months.

CHRISTOPHER MAYES, 28, Paynesdown Road, Thatcham, admitted drink-driving in Newbury on November 29 on the A4 in Newbury. Found to have 78mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £120 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.

December 19:

STEVEN LEE, 34, of Ringwood Road, Tilehurst, admitted assault by beating in Reading on November 23. Admitted criminal damage to a tv in Reading on November 23, and admitted assault by beating on the same date in Reading. Also admitted assault by beating on October 27 in Reading. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

CHRISTPHER ALLINSON, 31, of Ardley Road, Caversham, convicted of assault by beating in Reading on September 15. Also admitted damaging a phone and a door on September 15 in Reading. Sentenced to 18 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months as lack of remorse. Made subject to a restraining order and ordered to pay £300 compensation. Also ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge and £775 court costs.

ROLAND AMARCHI, 39, of Dell Road, Reading, admitted stealing three shower heads worth £260 from and B and Q Reading Gate Retail Park on December 5. Fined £320 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

KEVIN CASSELL, 26, of David Smith Court, Calcot in Reading, admitted stealing two bottles of Grey Goose Vodka worth £76 from Sainsbury's in Newbury on September 10. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £38 compensation. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

SAMANTHA ELLIOTT, 29, of David Smith Court, Calcot in Reading, admitted stealing two bottles of Grey Goose Vodka worth £76 from Sainsbury's in Newbury on September 10. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £38 compensation. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

CHRISTOPHER FLYNN, 48, of Russell Road, Newbury, admitted criminal damage to a window worth £187.08 at Two Saints Hostel in Newbury on September 26. Ordered to pay £187.08 compensation.

THOMAS LEE, 22, of Penny Royal in Goring Heath, Reading, admitted possession of class b drug Amphetamine on October 10 in Abingdon. Fined £260 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs.

MICHAEL LUBINSKI, 55, of Ledbury Close Reading, admitted drink-driving in Bath Road on December 2. Found to have 73mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. fined £400 and ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.
