HOUSE prices increased in Bradford in December, new figures show.
The boost contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 3.5% annual growth.
The average Bradford house price in December was £141,414, Land Registry figures show – a 1.1% increase on November.
Over the month, the picture was less good than that across Yorkshire and The Humber, where prices increased 1.7%, but Bradford outperformed the 0.3% rise for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Bradford rose by £4,700 – putting the area ninth among Yorkshire and The Humber’s 21 local authorities for annual growth.
The best annual growth in the region was in Ryedale.
