Book of Condolence - James Telford

"Leave your tributes and messages of condolence for James Telford."

We asked for your responses - this is what you sent.

From Daniel Telford

What is your response?Granddad. I don't know what to say... Thank you for everything. You leave us all behind with a lot to laugh about, and many, many happy memories. You were the kindest man I know. It's been said, but it really is true - you would take the shirt from your back if it meant the happiness of somebody else, and you would be genuinely delighted to know you'd helped. I'll not forget days spent working with you and your endless film recommendations, morning breakfasts at Sam's cafe, or evenings in the conservatory watching whatever documentary was on and putting the world to rights... or, more often, you having a chuckle at my expense! I hope you're at peace, and happy knowing you've left behind a big family who loved you dearly. Until the next time, Dan x

What is your response?Jimmy! What a wonderful wonderful man you were. Always had a smile and always there for everyone, even when you were hurting inside. I cherish the times we had together, the laughter, the fun and also helping each other when needed. The situations we got into 🤣😂... Great days. There is not a person around who could say anything but great things about you. Loved and missed by all and not many can say that. RIP mate. Rest in Peace!

From Rachael Tordoff

What is your response?I will always remember how everytime I saw you you'd have found some kind of bargain at a car boot sale. And I will never forget how when anytime you found a little bargain if someone said they liked it you'd offer it to them, because you were such a kind person. I'll also never forget about when you fed my rabbit. And how coming over to your house meant seeing a bird flying freely around the house! Thank you for being such a caring and kind hearted person. Love you always, Rachael x
