POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a crash at Keighley early this morning in which a 26-year-old motorist was seriously injured.
The man was driving a silver Ford Focus which crashed in Skipton Road, Utley, near Yew Bank Lodge.
He was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.
Firefighters from Keighley and Bingley attended and freed the man – the sole occupant of the vehicle – from the wreckage.
Police are asking anyone who saw the accident, or what happened just before it, to come forward.
The vehicle was heading towards Steeton when it left the road and collided with a wall, at about 1.25am.
No other vehicle was involved.
The road was closed for much of the morning.
