A new teacher training course is helping children understand what fake news is.
As part of a UK tour of NewsWise festivals, Bradford teachers are invited to take part in a training event to support primary school children’s critical literacy skills.
NewsWise director Angie Pitt, said: “This course will show teachers how to turn their classroom into a newsroom to help students understand how news is produced, develop critical thinking skills in a news context and understand how to produce and share real news reports for a real audience."
The workshop, run by the National Literacy Trust, The Guardian Foundation and PSHE Association, will take place at Cartwright Hall in Bradford on Wednesday February 26, 10.00am to 3.30pm. Teachers can sign up online at bit.ly/329pbFU.
