A DRIVER was caught doing more than double the "advisory speed limit" which was in place on a motorway due to strong winds.
PC Martin Willis - who is also known as Motorway Martin on social media website Twitter - clocked the silver Mercedes in the early hours of this morning on the M62.
It was doing 99mph.
This is over the normal speed limit anyway, but officers had set signs for "strong winds" with a 40mph advisory speed limit.
PC Willis said: "Not quite the usual treble figures that I normally record on the M62 but way too fast when we have signs set for strong winds and a 40mph advisory speed limit."
