BRADFORD is set to be hit by more rain towards the end of the week and into the weekend.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the area, which runs from 12 noon on Friday until 6am on Saturday.

A spokesperson said: "Further rain is expected across northern England on Friday.

"Rain is expected to turn persistent and occasionally heavy over parts of the Pennines before clearing early on Saturday.

"20-30 mm is likely to fall widely over higher ground with the potential for 60-80 mm in a few places.

"Given the recent wet conditions this brings a chance of flooding."

The district and country have been battered by Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis, which left many homes and businesses counting the cost after flooding.
