IT hasn't been a good start to the day for this driver who crashed into a traffic light on a major city centre road.
Police were called to the Audi S1 Quattro smash on Hall Ings just before 12pm.
An ambulance has been called to the scene but the motorist and his passengers escaped without injuries.
One witness was walking to work when they saw what happened.
They told the Telegraph & Argus: "There's some sort of liquid leaking from the front of the car and it's dripping onto the pavement.
"There's a definite smell in the air - like oil."
Those travelling through the city centre today will need to divert via Shipley Airedale Road and Bridge Street outbound until the scene is cleared up.
Bus services - including the 608, X6, 72 and 630 - are also being diverted via this route.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said enquiries are continuing.
