A gym in Bradford city centre is set to reopen on Tuesday morning after an emergency closure lasting more than a week.

easyGym, near the Broadway centre, was forced to shut its doors for repair work due to flood damage the weekend before last.

However, in a message to members, the gym revealed it is now ready to reopen.

The message said: "We are pleased to announce the club will reopen tomorrow morning (Tuesday 18th Feb) at 6am.

"The club has undergone a thorough deep clean. Please be aware that this has resulted in some carpeting being removed. The replacement carpeting has been ordered and we expect this to be replaced without needing to close the club and with minimal effect to members. We appreciate your understanding and although some regularly carpeted areas are temporarily bare floors, the equipment is available and ready to use.

"Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time."
