THERE was late disappointment for plucky Bradford Bulls as they fell to a 30-22 defeat to Featherstone Rovers in the Betfred Championship.

John Kear's side missed out on the inaugural Peter Fox Memorial Trophy in a mudfest at the Tetley's Stadium yesterday.

Here are a few of the comments left on the Telegraph & Argus's match report and reaction pieces:

bigwoz: "A great effort again from the bulls. But we've still a few players that are very pedestrian.

"Ebon Scurr needs more game time he's our best prop and also Thomas Doyle makes such a difference when he comes on.

"I think it's going to be a long season but hopefully we'll avoid relegation.

"It is easy to raise your game when we are playing London featherstone and the rest of the decent teams but John Kear has got to get them up for it when we play Batley, Dewsbury, Swinton and Oldham as those are the must win games home and away. If we do that we will stay up.coyb"

Frater Perdurabo: "A poor side, light years away from SL."

bartsbull: "Only one harsh comment is naivety we need a very experienced half back yes we have a good team but we need some nouse this is another game given away which we should have won.

"Yes, the ref was poor and out of his depth but we took to many wrong decisions to close fev down when we had more than one chance to win the game.

"No one though can fault the effort. But next week we must not put a weakened team out"
