BRADFORD City fell to a heart-breaking late turnaround at Cambridge, but fans online were still able to see the bigger picture.
Stuart McCall’s first defeat in the third game of his third spell as Bantams boss following a long trip, may have frustrated the City faithful but they remain fully focused on their League Two play-off charge.
Here are just a selection of City fans’ tweets following the 2-2 defeat in Cambridgeshire:
Bantam Scout: “On this day in 2013 #bcafc lost to bottom of the league AFC Wimbledon, slumping to 11th in the table, 7pts off the play-offs.
“Three months later, city were celebrating promotion to L1. Context: city are currently 8th in the table, a single point behind Colchester in 6th.”
For me, the weather made it a game of two halves. We just didn’t do enough in the first, and missed a great chance in the second. Football is improving and style is more pleasing on the eye. I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. #bcafc

Chris Hilton: “I’d never stop going to VP, there through thick & thin & im glad we have Stuart in charge, I love that he’s one of us but my god I can not hide my hatred for this league, it pains me to watch it week in week out, just hope we aren’t stuck in it for years.”
Ann Firth: “In March 2013, we watched #bcafc at Plymouth & Exeter in successive away games. On leaving the Exeter game, having lost 4-1, I remember saying, "well, that's our season over then". How wrong can you be?”
Whenever we go 1-0 up we just always seem too go into a shell and invite pressure there was always only gonna be 1 winner in that 2nd half and it wasn’t gonna be us #bcafc

CalmBantam: “McCall is finding out about his players, he’ll get it right. Still early days yet. Hoping to see a positive response to this disappointment in the next game. Must do better. How many times lads though?”
Don’t think I can manage anymore of this #bcafc away stuff this season - just too many bad moods and ruined Saturdays

Phill: “Just home from Cambridge, great first half, just so angry ref cost us at end.
“Wind played its part in both half’s, draw would have been fair. Feel given time McCall will get it right , as I can see glimpses off old city.”
Il take a play off spot. Its football, owt could happen.. Keep going and see what happens #bcafc
