A TOP Bradford judge is under investigation for allegations relating to his private life.
Jonathan Durham Hall QC, 67, who is also Honorary Recorder of Bradford, is being investigated by the independent Judicial Conduct Investigation Office (JCIO).
A spokesman for the JCIO issued the following statement: "The independent Judicial Conduct Investigations Office investigates issues of conduct in private life.
"It would not be appropriate for us or the judge to prejudice that investigation."
The JCIO added that Judge Durham Hall has agreed not to sit pending the outcome of the JCIO investigation but has not resigned from his position.
A well respected judge, he takes a tough stance on problems blighting the city, such as dangerous driving and any form of abuse.
