A Bradford sea cadet has been awarded a gold Duke of Edinburgh award.
James Richardson, who completed his award through the Bradford Sea Cadets, went to St James's Palace in London on Tuesday, October 23, to receive his award.
For his award he learned how to drive and became an advanced driver, walked more than 80 miles over moorland in extreme conditions, learned how to kayak, took a group of youngsters with learning disabilities camping for three days and learned how to sail and how to instruct sailing.
The sea cadets meet on Wednesdays and Fridays between 7pm and 9.15pm in Feversham Street, Bradford.
