AGE UK Bradford District has launched its annual appeal with an overall fundraising goal of £10,000 between February 19 and March 31.
Reaching the target would mean the charity could create three new lunch clubs for one hundred older people; support 100 older people with new Home Buddies and support 250 older people with new Telephone Buddies. Last year the charity supported activity sessions for 250 older people last year and hopes to host three new Activity Groups for 100 older people. To donate visit the store or Just Giving page.
Chief Executive Mark Rounding said: “There are currently over 9,000 lonely older people living across Bradford District. We are a local, independent charity and we have teams working with as many individuals as possible, listening and talking to them to find out what would make a real difference to their lives."
