A MAN has died following a collision on a major Bradford route on Wednesday, police have confirmed. 

Pedestrian Stephen Ward, 37, from Bradford, suffered a serious head injury when he was in collision with a blue Volvo XC 60 on the A650 Shipley Airedale Road, at around 1.10pm.

He died in hospital yesterday.  

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The driver of the vehicle was spoken to at the scene by officers.

"The investigation is now being led by the Major Collision Enquiry Team, who are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or with dashcam footage which may assist to come forward.

"The team can be contacted on 101 or by using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.

"The log reference for the collision is 765 of February 12."
