A speed limit is to be slashed from 60mph to 30mph after residents voiced their fears about the road's safety.
Keighley area committee, which meets on Thursday, is set to approve the recommendation of City Hall highways officers.
It will mean that the present 30mph section in Steeton will be extended between Steeton Top and Hawkcliffe Corner.
The plan has been supported by several residents but one objector said reducing the speed would hinder ambulances going to Airedale General Hospital at Steeton because of slow-moving vehicles.
