Keighley police are appealing for information following a spate of sneak burglaries on Thursday.
Detectives have warned residents in the Knowle Park area after five reports of sneak burglaries were made in one night.
Det Supt Ben McDonald, burglary team sergeant at Keighley police, said residents should make sure their doors are locked and premises' are secure at night.
He said: "The public should be aware to make sure they lock up because there is somebody actively going around sneaking into houses. In the run-up to Christmas this kind of thing will become more and more prevalent.
"These criminals will get their hands on anything they can carry away and they have tried to get in while people are in bed, sneaking in through insecure doors.
"At the moment we have no witness descriptions but if anybody has any information we would like to hear from them."
Anyone with information should contact Det Supt McDonald on (01535) 617082.
