A WEEKEND weather warning for parts of Bradford has been upgraded to AMBER.
Storm Dennis is already ready set to batter the city on Saturday and Sunday.
Yesterday, the Met Office released a yellow weather warning for the whole of Bradford, for wind and rain.
But, the national weather service has now upgraded the warning for rain to AMBER for parts of Bradford.
The new warning covers Bingley, Ilkley and Skipton.
It begins at 3pm on Saturday and ends at 3pm on the Sunday.
This now means that Storm Dennis is expected to bring very heavy rain, flooding, and disruption to travel over the weekend.
The Met Office added that this is what to expect:
- Homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
- Fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, causing danger to life
- Delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely
- Spray and flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- A good chance some communities cut off by flooded roads
- Power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses likely
