Pupils were evacuated after a school fire today.
The blaze broke out at Wyke Manor Upper School, in Wilson Road, Wyke, early this afternoon.
A rubbish fire outside the school spread to the side of the science block and affected the panels between the walls of the block.
This resulted in heavy smoke-logging of the major part of the school.
A fire service spokesman said: "The school has been evacuated and pupils have been sent home for the day.
"This is not a serious fire, but the evacuation is down to the nature of the smoke logging of the building."
Nobody was injured. Two fire engines from Odsal attended the scene.
