A BUSINESS park, built by a Bradford property company, is now fully let, just 15 months after it was built.

Frank Marshall Estates developed the £3m Bridge Business Park speculatively, after buying the land from Mamas & Papas.

The 2.73 acre site is just off the main A62 Leeds Road in Huddersfield and close to Junction 25 of the M62.

Fastenal Europe, who are opening a new Yorkshire base, have taken the last of the park’s six units, comprising 6,000 sq ft of prime industrial space, on a five-year lease.

Edward Marshall, director of Frank Marshall Estates, said: “We are absolutely delighted with this new deal, which means the park is fully let only 15 months after completion. We are very proud of this achievement, as other older business parks in Huddersfield still have vacant units.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Fastenal, who join PTFE Flex, HWA and Sniffers Pet Care at our park. These are all successful companies who are expanding in our region. We are very pleased that we were able to provide the space they needed to accommodate their growth."

He added: “Speaking more generally, the M62 corridor is now one of the hotspots for industrial property in West Yorkshire, providing swift access to both the East Coast and the West Coast ports, as well as well as linking into the UK’s superb motorway network. It’s logistics gold dust.”

Alex Cook, district manager of Fastenal Europe, an international leader in industrial supply solutions, said: “This is our first base in Yorkshire, although we have 2,500 locations globally. The well-built units suited our requirements and the landlords were very helpful with all our queries.”

Jimmy Marshall of Frank Marshall Estates added: “Although Frank Marshall Estates has extensive interests in West Yorkshire, this is our first major development in Huddersfield, one of the county’s foremost towns with a splendid industrial history.

“We are proud to be contributing to the area’s economy, by building bespoke business/industrial units and creating jobs. We are committed to the town.”
