THREE Bradford drug dealers have been jailed for a total of almost ten years as part of an undercover police operation into street dealing.

The trio are the latest to appear in court as part of Operation Errantdance which targeted “ring and bring” drug dealers in Bradford East.

All three admitted supplying Class A drugs, to undercover police officers between February and April last year, and were sentenced at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

Mansur Shiraj, 31, of Hanover Square, Manningham, admitted seven counts of supplying class A drugs. He was jailed for 44 months.

He was working for the Cash Line, the court heard, and supplied heroin and crack cocaine to undercover officers Libby and Emily, who were wearing concealed cameras.

In each of the five instances, he was the driver of a black Audi that delivered the drugs, with passengers in the car handing them over, outside Lidl in Barkerend Road.

He was said to have got involved due to “an addiction to gambling building on debts with drug dealers”.

He was also sentenced to six months concurrently for dangerous driving.

Riduwan Hussain, 39, of Salisbury Road, Frizinghall, admitted three counts of supplying class A drugs.

He was jailed for three years.

He was working for the Ali Line, the court heard, and acted as the driver in supplying heroin and crack cocaine to undercover officer Libby on two occasions in February and March last year.

The court heard he started taking drugs after his marriage broke down and turned to dealing to fund his habit.

He also admitted robbery and dangerous driving in separate incidents for which he was sentenced to a further three years, and six months to be served concurrently.

Shwaib Ahmed, 23, of Devonshire Terrace, Manningham, admitted two counts of supplying class A drugs.

He was jailed for 36 months.

He was working for the Ali Line and was the driver on two occasions supplying heroin to undercover officer Libby, in March, meeting at a car wash in Barkerend Road, and in April at Lister Park.

The court heard he had been in debt and was under pressure.

He also pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and heroin and was sentenced to nine months.

Recorder of Bradford, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC praised the operation.

He told Shiraj: “You were party as the driver of a ‘ring and bring’ unit in the city of Bradford supplying drugs heroin and crack cocaine to customers.”

The trio were the latest of many to be sentenced as part of the undercover operation, with more to come.

Earlier this month, in another sentencing hearing brought about by Operation Errantdance, it emerged that a drug dealer “brazenly” advertised his Scooby Line on promotional T-shirts.
