Two Bradford men were due to appear before Calderdale magistrates today charged with wounding with intent.
A 24-year-old man received serious head injuries during the incident in Halifax on Tuesday.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, where he was in a critical but stable condition this morning.
A 20-year-old and a 23-year-old were to appear in court in relation to the incident which occurred in West Parade, King Cross.
A 22-year-old Bradford man who was also arrested in connection with the incident was in police custody today.
Two men, a 20-year-old and a 26-year-old, from Halifax, were also charged with wounding with intent.
