Delays on A591 after accident
THERE were delays on the northbound carriageway of the A591 at Prizet after a road traffic accident this morning.
A vehicle appeared to have left the road and overturned and has come to rest some yards away in a field.
The incident took place just south of the Whetstone Lane junction.
One lane was closed and police and emergency services attended the scene.
A queue of traffic quickly built up and delays were being experienced.
Traffic problems were worsened by the fact that heavy rain was falling in the area at the time and there was a high level of surface water on the road.
The road has now fully reopened and traffic is flowing as normal.
