A SCHOOL has paid tribute to a "well-respected" supply teacher who was found dead on a street yesterday.
St Bede's and St Joseph's Catholic College confirmed that the man found on Serpentine Road, Cleckheaton, yesterday morning was Mo Shaffi.
Nick Parker, a senior member of staff speaking on behalf of headteacher Lawrence Bentley said: "That is indeed the gentleman who was found in Cleckheaton yesterday morning.
"Staff and students are naturally upset.
"He was a well-liked and well-respected member of our community."

Police were called to Serpentine Road, at around 2.50am yesterday, to a report of an unconscious man on the pavement.
Paramedics also attended at the scene and the man was pronounced dead a short time later.
The death is being treated as unexplained pending a post mortem examination, but at this time there are no suspicious circumstances to the death.
