AHEAD of the Denholme Murder Trial resuming at Bradford Crown Court tomorrow following a two-day break, here is a look at the hearing so far.

In the nine days of proceedings, the jury has heard most of the prosecution’s case.

The court has heard an outline of the case, a timeline of phone calls and CCTV footage featuring the defendants on the night of the attack and heard transcripts of the police interviews with each of the defendants.

The trial will resume at 11.30am on Thursday, January 30.

Mohammed Feazan Ayaz, 20, of Duckworth Grove, Manningham, Bradford, was found dead in Saffron Drive, Allerton, Bradford, in the early hours of July 1 last year.

Five men from Bradford are accused of his murder at Unit 2, Denholme Business Centre, Halifax Road, Denholme, between June 30 and July 1 last year.

The five men accused of murdering Mohammed Feazan Ayaz are:

-  Suleman Khan, 30, of Sandford Road, Bradford Moor, Bradford

-  Robert Wainwright, 26, of Mannville Terrace, Bradford City Centre

-  Junaid Hussain, 28, of Silverhill Road, Bradford Moor

-  Raheel Khan, 27, of no fixed address

-  Stephen Queeney, 34, of Junction Row, Bolton Road, Bradford

-  Meanwhile, Shaoib Shafiq, 20, of Gladstone Street, Bradford Moor, is accused of assisting an offender.

The full charge is: On July 1, 2019, at Bradford without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, did an act, namely participated in the movement of the body of Mohammed Feazan Ayaz from the Denholme Business Centre to Saffron Drive, Bradford, with intent to impede the apprehension or prosecution of others who had committed the offence of murder, knowing or believing others to be guilty of the offence or some other offence which carries a term of imprisonment of five years or more.

- A 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been accused of assisting an offender.

The trial is expected to last for up to six weeks.
