The trial of a man accused of possessing a dangerous dog will take place next year.
Lee Hanson, 27, of Brighton Street, Heckmondwike, has denied a charge, under the Dangerous Dogs Act, of possessing a dangerous dog called Bonnie. He has admitted owning a dangerous dog, a puppy called Peaches.
Batley and Dewsbury magistrates adjourned his case for a trial next February.
A co-accused, John Powney, 38, of Upper Barker Street, Liversedge, has admitted two charges of possessing dangerous dogs, called Arnie and Bruiser, and will be sentenced later. The dogs are alleged to be pit bull-type terriers.
