A FAMOUS Bradford building is to host an organisation's annual celebration of tourism.

St George's Hall will be centre stage for Welcome to Yorkshire's showcase of its exclusive plans for 2020, to make the county a must-see destination for tourists.

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 25, from 9:30am to 2pm.

The well-known venue - which is affectionately known as "A People's Palace" - reopened at the start of last year after a three-year transformational refurbishment which cost £9.8 million.

Singer Barbara Dickson was the first act to play at St George's Hall, following the extensive works.
