A 19-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 22-year-old student who died of severe head injuries.
Nazeer Ahmed was found by paramedics at his home in Rupert Street, Lawkholme, Keighley, at 4.15pm on Thursday, May 31, this year.
The man charged with his murder is due to appear before Bingley Magistrates' Court next Wednesday.
Mr Ahmed, who was studying business and information systems at Yorkshire College, in Manningham Lane, Bradford, was described as a "brilliant student".
Speaking after his death, Mohammed Faifal, head of the college, said: "It is a waste of a life. He was properly committed to education and was the top of his class."
Mr Ahmed had started an international computing course at Bradford College three years ago, which was a foundation for his later studies.
Bouquets of flowers laid on the backyard wall of his house by friends in the aftermath of the incident contained messages of disbelief at his death.
Mr Ahmed's death has been investigated by the Homicide and Major Inquiry Team at West Yorkshire Police.
