A LOCAL man has been left concerned after again seeing rubbish piled up on Baildon Moor this morning.

Trevor Peel, who says he was walking his sister's dog, says he saw the remnants of "fly-tipping" on the quiet and idyllic route.

A photograph taken by Mr. Peel shows various items of rubbish scattered along the ground next to a bin.

"It's disgusting, and is also part of a wider problem", he explains.

"I take the dog for a walk four or five mornings a week, and invariably there's always some rubbish thrown or discarded on the ground.

"I once saw a car abandoned in the middle of the moors, as well as other forms of fly-tipping.

"It's getting ridiculous now and everywhere you go you'll see evidence of fly-tipping. This morning isn't the first time I've seen this kind of thing.

"I regularly see empty cans, takeaway boxes and things that look like laughing gas canisters."

In terms of a solution to the problem, Mr. Peel says surveillance is a potential option.

"Cameras ought to be there, as it is prime moorland.

"It's easier for people to fly-tip here than it is in more populated areas, because of how quiet it is."
