BRADFORD Council’s website is down for a second day – and users have been warned there are likely to be problems through the weekend too.

Much of the Council website has been down since yesterday morning.

It means people have limited access to the planning portal, online library services, school details, online leisure services and bin collection calendars.

We are still experiencing IT issues affecting our website. It is unlikely that access will be restored over the weekend. We apologise for the inconvenience. Please see our blog for resources that are still working and important information you may need. https://t.co/QZKn9u4loY

Yesterday afternoon the Council announced that the website would likely be down until this morning.

And today the Bradford Libraries Twitter account Tweeted: “We are still experiencing IT problems which means customers cannot access their online accounts, reserve books, book PC’s or add money to their printing accounts.

“We have been informed that the problems will affect users over the weekend too. Apologies.”

A Council spokesperson said: “We are experiencing IT issues affecting our website, associated booking and payments sites and remote access for Council employees. We are having to carry out emergency maintenance on our network and it is unlikely that access will be restored over the weekend.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this is causing and would like to assure our customers and residents that we are working hard to resolve the issue at the earliest opportunity.
“While the website is unavailable, we have updated our Council blog to include links to some of our resources that are still working, as well as some of the most important information you may need to access. You can find this here bradfordmdc.wordpress.com"
