WEST Yorkshire Combined Authority in partnership with the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership is setting out its priorities for the coming financial year.

Members of the public are being encouraged to put their questions to Cllr Susan Hinchcliffe, Chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. Questions can be asked on the Combined Authority’s Your Voice engagement website or on social media using the hashtag #AsktheChair.

An animation hosted on the Combined Authority’s website and on Your Voice explains what the Combined Authority and the LEP do, where their budget comes from and how it is being spent to improve the region.

The plans set out how money will be spent developing and delivering economic and transport services along with schemes and programmes that are delivered in partnership with the public and private sectors that focus on transport, skills, business support and digital connectivity.

Funding for Bradford Interchange refurbishment work is approved

Cllr Hinchcliffe said: “We want to hear the views of the communities we serve on the investment we will be making in the coming year to improve transport, support business and give people access to better skills.

"This is also an opportunity to give people a better understanding of what our organisation does, how we are funded and the positive contribution we are making to the region.

"I would encourage everyone to send us their questions either via our Your Voice page or by using the hashtag #AsktheChair and tagging @WestYorkshireCA on social media.”

The engagement will close on January 22.
