BRADFORD Cinderella Club is still spreading some Christmas cheer by sending scores of underprivileged children from across the district to the panto.

Several schools and community groups have applied for funding so that Bradford's neediest children can enjoy panto season, with donations from kind Bradfordians paying for them to see stars like Billy Pearce and Paul Chuckle at The Alhambra.

The biggest donation came from Butterfield Signs on Sunbridge Road, paying for 55 tickets for children in care.

"We're here to put smiles on children's faces, and there's nothing quite like a panto to do just that - oh no, there isn't," said John Atkinson, Cinderella Club's vice-chairman. "We are once again overcome by Butterfield Signs' generosity and a huge gift of 55 tickets which will be distributed by Bradford Children's Services so that they go to those most in need in of a laugh and song and some cheer."

Bradford Cinderella Club supports schools, clubs and community groups across Bradford District year round.
