THE nightclub and pub ‘crime hotspots’ of West Yorkshire have been revealed by police.

In a Freedom of Information request to West Yorkshire Police, the Telegraph & Argus asked which nightclubs police had been called to most frequently from January 1, 2019, to September 30, 2019.

  • The top 20 locations, based on numbers of crimes recorded, were as follows:

West Yorkshire Police said the figures represent the number of crimes recorded during the period which: were not subsequently cancelled; had a location qualifier of licensed club, private club, public house and wine bar; had the most crimes recorded based on exact location address.

The force said the figures may be subject to further investigation, reclassification and cancelling and will therefore change over time.

In looking at the top 20, venues in Leeds make up the majority of the list, with 13 venues featured.

There are three in Kirklees, two are in Calderdale, while Wakefield and Bradford have one each.
