THE VISITOR centre at Ogden Water has been closed after a break-in.
Raiders damaged two doors, broke locks, damaged the coffee machine and ransacked the interior on Thursday night.
They took the float for the till, donations from the Christmas tree collection point and money raised from duck food sales.
Ranger Chris Sutcliffe said the centre would possibly be closed until Tuesday.
He said: "We're doing what we can today but it will be closed over the weekend."
He said Calderdale Council would pay the repair bill but it meant money would be spent on repairs rather than where it was most needed.
He appealed for anyone with information about the raid to contact the police.
News of the raid was posted on Facebook: "We had a break in to the visitor centre at Ogden Water last night, significant damage to the building and interior.
"The police and CSI have visited but the centre will be closed for the next few days as we make repairs.
"Sorry if you were wanting a coffee or flapjack as part of your winter's walk."
