TRAINS between Keighley and Skipton have been cancelled while emergency services deal with an incident.
Train operator Northern has said a person has been struck by a train near Steeton. The incident was reported by rail staff at 8.55am.
British Transport Police are dealing with the incident.
Information Northern has shared with commuters reads: "Services between Leeds and Skipton/Morecambe/Carlisle, and between Bradford Forster Square and Skipton, in both directions of travel, are disrupted while the emergency services attend to an incident.
"At present, there is no estimate as to when the line will reopen.
"A rail replacement coach service will run between Keighley and Skipton in both directions. The buses are expected to arrive on site between 9.30am to 10am.
"Buses have also been requested between Skipton and Lancaster/Carlisle, these will arrive at approximately 10.15am."
The company says it expects the disruption to last until at least 11am.
