MORE THAN a thousand people were arrested in West Yorkshire in 2019 due to automatic number plate recognition cameras.
There were is 1,067 arrests for burglary, robbery, vehicle theft and other acquisitive crime.
A total of 38 missing persons were found directly through ANPR and 1,560 stolen vehicles recovered.
Police tweeted that "ANPR continues to prevent and detect crime, and protect the vulnerable".
