PLANS to refurbish a city centre bank have been approved.
Last year Barclays Bank submitted a planning application for work to its branch at 10 Market Street, opposite the Broadway Shopping Centre.
The work would involve the replacement of the existing flat roof covering, installation of roof top edge, protection, repairs and redecoration of an external staircase, repairs, redecoration or like for like replacement of existing windows and repairs and redecoration or existing guttering.
What does the future hold for Market Street as Bonmarche prepares to close?
The application said this work would "bring improved and fresh aesthetic qualities" to the building.
It has now been approved by Bradford Council.
Planning officers said: "The proposal is deemed to refresh a building located in the City Centre conservation area and make a positive contribution in the street scene."
