ANOTHER new micropub could soon open on an iconic Keighley street.
A planning application to convert a vacant former charity shop on Cavendish Street into a drinking establishment has been submitted to Bradford Council.
2nd Time Around, at 62 Cavendish Street, re-located to Low Street last year, and now Adam Hirson has submitted a planning application to convert the building into a 49 square metre micropub.
The plans could create two full time and two part time jobs.
New micropub for Bingley town centre approved
Last year the Council granted permission for 14 Cavendish Street to become a micropub called Hop On Worth.
The application says: “The main thrust of the business is to operate as a craft beer and real ale establishment as a rustic, shabby chic themed bar, as this is considered to be a unique business opportunity for Keighley.
“By promoting change on this part of Cavendish Street, the proposal will serve to stimulate activity in this part of the street to compliment adjacent retail activity and promote early evening patronage in the area, which currently tends to close-down after 5pm.”
A decision on the application is expected next month.
