Gary Bowyer decided to exercise City's recall option after Doyle netted 23 goals in 22 games for the Wiltshire club.
It is a good time for Doyle to boost fourth-placed City's striking options with fellow frontman Clayton Donaldson still on the comeback trail from injury.
Here are some of the City's faithful's reaction to Doyle's return online.

Keith Wildman, owner of the Record Cafe, tweeted: "Second half on the season. 6 points off top with a game in hand. Donaldson and Devitt coming back and the top scorer in the leagues added to the squad. Not been in this good a position for many years. Lets hope GB can capitalise on it. #bcafc
Hopefully Doyle isn't used as a targetman this time. The club have done the right thing recalling him #bcafc
