THE REGION's fire service has told of its "busy start" to 2020 after dealing with more than 400 incidents over the first week.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue service has received "hundreds of calls" in the past 8 days.
One of the most dramatic call-outs came on Monday when emergency services rescued a trapped driver from their car in Bingley.
Fire crews from Shipley and Bingley helped free the motorist before those involved were taken to hospital by ambulance.

The drivers of a grey Skoda Superb and a blue Citroen ES3 escaped with minor injuries.
Meanwhile crews from Shipley and Bradford attended a blaze at a derelict house in Manningham.

Mornington Villas, a two-storey property, was 15 per cent covered in flames on the first floor on New Year's Day.
Crews used two hose reels, four breathing apparatus and a high powered fan to clear the property of smoke.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue: "We're already over a week into the new year. And it's been a busy start for us in 2020.
"We've taken hundreds of calls & already attended over incidents since 1st January."
