TWO members of Keighley Model Railway Club have been rewarded for their contributions.
Plaques have been presented to treasurer Peter Morrison and Les Goater, who has been a member virtually since the club’s inception.
A spokesman said: “Peter has done a great job producing the balance sheets month-to-month and the year-end accounts – spending long hours keeping the club’s financial affairs in order – while Les has held numerous posts and for the last few years has made our sale stand his own.”
Both men received their awards from club chairman Charles Oldroyd.
The club is now looking forward to its 45th exhibition, to be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15.
The event will be held at University Academy Keighley, in Greenhead Road, Keighley, and layouts on display will include Filey Station (OO Gauge), Brenton Midland (OO Gauge), Ilkley Station (T Gauge), Saltdean (O Gauge), Mill Bank Alley (O Gauge) and Earby (N Gauge).
