A GP doctor from Bingley will serve four West African countries in a New Year medical expedition.

Dr Aziz Hafiz will visit the Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry and Ivory Coast where he will run medical camps in remote villages with no regular medical access.

The trip is now underway.

Dr Aziz, who runs a local GP surgery and supports Leeds University Medics, has been volunteering with Humanity First for many years.

Known for its disaster relief and humanitarian project work, Humanity First has been delivering charitable works since 1995, including helping Ebola victims, providing free eye operations, schools and water wells to countries around the world and in the UK working with older people and those who are homeless.

Humanity First's volunteers work for free.
